I would, you know, think, you know, I would say this and then, you know, God can speak to you through anything. 01:41.000 --> 01:49.000 And I had been brought up a Christian. So I went to the Bible and I said, okay, God, please guide me and talk to me. 01:49.000 --> 01:56.000 And I opened it up and began to read at random. And what I read was more like history. 01:56.000 --> 02:00.000 It's more like a history book, you know, it didn't really touch me. 02:00.000 --> 02:06.000 I did that again later when I found, I found an old copy of the Quran. 02:06.000 --> 02:10.000 And I would open up and, you know, just read at random. 02:10.000 --> 02:19.000 And the first thing I read was, this day I have shown favor upon you, perfected your path and chose Islam as your religion. 02:19.000 --> 02:33.000 But, you know, for six months, I really don't remember feeling pleasure. 02:33.000 --> 02:39.000 And then all of a sudden, it was like a relief, like I could go, you know, I could breathe out and say, thank you. 02:39.000 --> 02:45.000 Because this is what I've been asking for. I read the Quran from beginning to end over about three months. 02:53.000 --> 02:58.000 And slowly, I just, you know, got better, got my senses back. 02:58.000 --> 03:03.000 When I first took Shahada, I just had taken Shahada by myself, you know, in the basement of my house. 03:03.000 --> 03:06.000 And I had read in a book that you should take Shahada, you know. 03:06.000 --> 03:14.000 And then after approximately two years, when I was in college, I found out that there was a master on the street that I lived. 03:14.000 --> 03:21.000 And so I went to visit.
