I'm sitting in the ambassador's residence in Cairo, in the garden, at the end of the most hectic four days that I've ever had, I think.

00:13.540 --> 00:37.880
We've done four days of meeting all sorts of different people, we've discussed Muslims in the UK, the issues that we face, counter-radicalisation with people that really know what they're talking about here in Egypt, and some of the delegates have an incredible knowledge of this, and are very esteemed authors.

And there's little old me, I converted to Islam three years ago, and I'm still on my journey, and I've learnt a lot by coming here, but some of the questions that I've had have been quite basic, and I think one of the positive things about coming here has been the fact that I was unlike what they expected to see, white, indigenous, British, converted to Islam, not the typical picture.

So that was a great thing to do in terms of showing people outside of the UK that Islam is a religion at the end of the day, and it doesn't have a uniform or a face.
